Hom Mali Fairtrade and Organic White Rice is an extraordinary rice: great tasting, natural, high quality, ecologically grown and fair trade by small farmers. A wide variety of 3000 local rice varieties, developed over centuries by the agricultural society of Thailand but threatened today, are still cultivated in this region. Fair Trade gives these different rice varieties an importance that goes beyond regional boundaries and thus contributes to the conversation of variety and biodiversity in this region.
